I stopped early after a day walking in fine misty rain and taking a few wrong turnings on the way down to Storey Arms from Pen y Fan, meaning I was short of my planned target. Not being able to see the way up onto the top of Fan Fawr, and having found water nearby, I opted to stop and enjoy a Saturday night “in”. Doesn’t look much, but this was a nice camp and just what I needed after a day when morale on the Cambrian Way took a bit of a hit, and in the knowledge that I had a hard day the next day. Voices in the night were a mystery until the next morning I found another tent a couple of hundred metres away.
